A Culinary Island

A culinary island in Southern Utah, the Painted Pony brings a touch of class--and intriguing flavors--to St. George. The restaurant, tucked away in Ancestor Square, is exceptionally clean and cozy, with contemporary art, fresh flowers, and -- in the evening -- a top notch romantic atmosphere with subdued lighting and patio dining. If your surroundings don't clue you in, your first glance at the menu will. Painted Pony is not your standard fare. Contemporary Seasonal Cuisine evidently doesn't mean just another good steakhouse, and the simply written food descriptions promise something new and intriguing for your palate. The Painted Pony has perfected the fine art of using fresh ingredients and delicate flavoring. An exceptional wine list, generous portions, attentive service, and reasonable prices will convince you to return to "the Pony" anytime you're in St. George.

This has to be one of the greatest restaurants I've ever accidentally stumbled upon. While in town for a golf tournament, I found the Painted Pony. Everyone on staff was extremely friendly and very impressive at their respective jobs. The menu we encountered was elegant, intentional, and exceptionally crafted. From the crispy bread to the sensational duck ravioli, everything tasted incredible, and that is without mentioning the decadent chocolate cake dessert.

Since the Painted Pony has a premier chef, the menu rotates seasonally, so there is always a reason to visit. My compliments to the chef and all the incredible wait staff. Do yourself a favor and snag a reservation ASAP!

TRIPLE A REALTY

I had the pleasure of dining at The Painted Pony, and it was truly an exceptional experience. It's refreshing to find a restaurant that serves Michelin star-quality food in such a welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress was outstanding —her knowledge of the menu and wine list enhanced our meal significantly.
Overall, The Painted Pony exceeded my expectations in every way, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exquisite dining experience.

The waiter was very pleasant and informative. The food was prepared just right and delicious at that. The ambience was perfect for the birthday celebration. And we made new friends at the tail end of our meal. Cheers.

Came here to celebrate my birthday while vacationing in St. George area. Everything we had was simply delicious. We started with he Brie small plate. I had the scallops while my husband had the bison tenderloin. Both meals were... chefs kiss amazing! We cleaned both our plates. For dessert we couldn't decide on one, so we got a pistachio cheesecake and the pumpkin creme brûlée, once again, plates were cleaned! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, worth every penny!

A delicious experience in St. George.

Found a very cool, hidden away restaurant in St. George today. The Painted Pony had a welcoming and relaxed vibe with engaging servers and an outstanding Seared Ahi Tuna Salad. Bread was a different level of fresh as well. Enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere and the team at the Painted Pony.

I'm from South Florida so I was visiting St. George for business purposes and was recommended to try The Painted Pony. The atmosphere is western but still a nice aesthetic. The view/scene out was beautiful, I was able to watch the moon rise! The service was amazing and the food was to die for. Let me just say you must have their Caesar salad It's the best salad I've ever had in my life.. I would do anything to have The Painted Pony in my city. I hope to return back one day. I don't ever leave reviews, but felt like I needed to. Their ribeye and mashed potato were heaven on earth. Highly recommend.

Are here for the first time when visiting some family this past weekend. Cute place and I loved the ambiance overall. All the employees were super nice and friendly. They were on it with any food specific needs - we had some in our party that have Celiacs so the waitress was amazing at spending time to discuss options with each. The food was delicious! I would be back for sure!

It was my first time dining here, and it did not disappoint at all! The philo baked brie was really good! The tenderloin steak melted in my mouth, and they have the BEST Mac and cheese I've ever had, and I've tried a lot from different restaurants. Don't skip on dessert. The bourbon pumpkin creme brûlée and pistachio cheesecake was incredible! Shout out to the staff as well. They were really helpful with any questions you have. Overall, it was an amazing date night with incredible food, and I will be visiting again.
